Brain stimulation has become one of the fastest-growing frontiers in mental health care, reshaping how psychiatric and neurological conditions are understood and treated across the lifespan. This special issue, inspired by the 7th European Conference on Brain Stimulation in Mental Health (ECBS 2026, Naples, October 15-17, https://ecbs2026.com/) under the theme New Frontiers in Brain Stimulation Practice across the Lifespan, brings together contributions that bridge neuromodulation and the psychological dimensions of health. Beyond neurophysiological mechanisms, the issue emphasizes patient-centered and age-inclusive perspectives, from childhood to old age, including quality of life, treatment adherence, and the lived experience of stimulation-based therapies. Particular attention is given to the integration of brain stimulation with psychological and pharmacological interventions, the personalization of protocols, and emerging home-based and adaptive technologies. By connecting biological innovation with health psychology, this collection aims to foster a more holistic understanding of how brain stimulation can support mental well-being throughout life.
